Thomas E.  Baier, MD
Greenleaf Orthopedics Associates - Bone & Joint Surgery
Dr. Baier has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery in Lake County since 1985. His speciality is sports medicine, including arthroscopic ACL reconstruction. He also trains other physicians to perform arthroscopic ACL reconstruction surgery at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Orthopaedic Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
Dr. Baier graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign, and attended Rush Medical School. He completed his residency at the major orthopaedic trauma referral center for central Illinois from Southern Illinois University in Springfield.
Since 2007, Dr. Baier has served as Major in the Army Reserve using his medical experience to support our military injured on combat. He has completed 2 three month deployments: Iraq in the summer of 2008 and Afghanistan in the winter of 2010.
Greg Crovetti, MD

Dr. Crovetti treats all musculoskeletal problems and medical conditions in the active individual. Dr. Crovetti has special interests in Supplemental Aids, Alternative Medicine, and maximizing athletic performance.
Dr. Crovetti has provided medical covered to many large-scale athletic events, such as the state wrestling and basketball tournaments, collegiate sporting events, national boxing tournament, world karate championships, a pro hockey team, the Lexington ballet troop, and elite cheerleading club. Also,he has provided medical coverage to the first ever Eco-Challenge in Utah and the Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii.
Mark Smyth, MD

Dr. Smyth graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Molecular and Cellular biology. He then completed his Medical Doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honors Society for his academic excellence. 
Following medical school, Dr. Smyth completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the esteemed Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. Additionally, he spent a year specializing in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the University of Chicago. Throughout his training, he has worked with team physicians for the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Fire of the Major League Soccer, the NBA basketball Memphis Grizzlies, the Memphis Redbirds (AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals), the University of Memphis  and the University of Chicago as well as numerous high schools in the Memphis and Chicago areas.
