

MIKE JONES
Varsity Head Coach
Coach Jones has been the head coach since 2012. A 1986 graduate of Harvard High School, Coach Jones earned seven varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball. Named All-Conference in football and baseball his senior year of high school, Coach Jones then attended Monmouth College where he earned a B.A. in mathematics and was a four-year letter winner in football as a linebacker. Named a Captain his senior year by his teammates, his overall record while playing at Monmouth was 34 - 5. He began his teaching career at Grayslake High School, where he taught math and coached football and basketball for 13 years. Coach Jones has been a member of the Math Department at LHS since 2003. Since arriving at LHS, Coach Jones has been fortunate to coach in two state championship games and was on the staff that won a state title in 2004 serving as the defensive coordinator. Mike and his wife Michelle have two children, Michael and Bailey.

TIM BUDGE
Varsity Defensive Coordinator & Safeties Coach
Tim has been coaching football at LHS since 2000. Tim has been the Varsity Defensive Coordinator since 2012 and has coached on the Varsity level as the Inside Linebackers Coach since 2009. In addition, he was the Co-Head Sophomore coach from 2009–2011. From 2000–2008, Tim coached football at the freshman level. Tim went to Grayslake High School and graduated in 1992. On the gridiron, Tim was a man of many positions (Linebacker, Running Back and Defensive Lineman). He played football all four years and became senior year captain. He also played basketball for three years. After high school, Tim went on to Illinois State University and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and finished his Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University in 2004. From 1997-2000, he taught math and coached freshman football at Antioch High School. Tim has been teaching math at LHS since 2000. He coached boys basketball at LHS from 2001–2009. Tim is married to Judy and has three children, Michael (born Jan 2004), Nicholas (born May 2005) and Maggie (born Jan 2015).

REED CHRISTENSEN
Varsity Receivers Coach
Reed was born and raised in Libertyville. He is a 1994 graduate of Libertyville High School. While attending high school Reed played football and wrestled all four years. Reed earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Illinois State and completed his Master’s degree in Administration from Roosevelt University. After college he started his teaching career at St. Charles North High School. There he coached football, wrestling and track. After St. Charles, Reed made the move to Mundelein High School, where he has been for the past twelve years. While at Mundelein, he has coached the varsity and sophomore linebackers and running backs. He has also coached wrestling at Mundelein. This will be Reed’s fifth year in the Wildcat program. He is very excited to be here and looks forward to helping the tradition continue. He currently resides in Libertyville with Kristen (wife) and their four children. Caleb (12) Kylie (10), Kelsey (8), and Cade (6).

CHRIS DAVIS
Varsity Offensive Coordinator & Offensive Line Coach
Chris Davis is entering his 10th year of coaching football, his 6th at LHS. Coach Davis is a 2004 graduate of Libertyville High School and was a starting offensive lineman on the 2003 State Finalist football team. He continued his playing career at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN where he earned two varsity letters as an offensive lineman. Coach Davis graduated cum laude from Butler in May 2008 with a degree in secondary education. He began his coaching career at Butler as an assistant football coach. During the 2008 season, Coach Davis coached the defensive line and helped lead the team to its first winning season in over a decade. He moved back over to the offensive side to coach the tight ends in 2009 and running backs in 2010. The 2009 football season was one of the best football seasons in Butler’s history as the team amassed an 11-1 record on its way to a Pioneer Football League championship and the University’s first ever post-season victory. This fall, Coach Davis will begin his seventh year teaching at LHS as a physical wellness teacher. He also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director. Chris and his wife Lisa, also a teacher at LHS have one child, daughter Addison.

SEAN FERRELL
Sean Ferrell graduated from Moline High School in Moline, Illinois where he lettered two years on the varsity football and baseball teams. Ferrell earned an MVP award for his senior year of football at Moline. Ferrell continued playing both football and baseball at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Ferrell then transferred to Northern Illinois University earning a Bachelor's Degree in English. Ferrell also has a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Northeastern Illinois University. He previously coached on the varsity and as the Head Sophomore Coach at LHS for 12 years. Ferrell currently serves as a dean of students at Libertyville. Ferrell resides in Libertyville with his wife Molly and three children, Griffin, McKenzie, and Nolan.

DAN HENNEBERRY
Sophomore Head Coach and Varsity Offensive Line Coach
Dan Henneberry played high school football at Libertyville (class of 1996). Dan, his wife Lindsay and daughters, Harper and Paige, reside in Libertyville. Dan started coaching in 2000 at the youth level; his experience includes coaching football, wrestling, and lacrosse at both the youth and high school level. Coach Henneberry teaches at Oak Grove School and has been on staff at LHS since 2006 with two seasons at the freshmen level.

BRAD KRUPINSKI
Varsity Linebackers Coach
Brad grew up in the Eastern suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, and is a graduate from South High School in Willoughby, Ohio. While there, he earned 7 varsity letters in both football and track. Brad was All-Conference his junior and senior years, and was named 1st team All-Ohio for defensive line his senior year. After high school, Coach Krupinski attended Miami University playing football and throwing for track. He majored in Elementary Education and is currently teaching 7th grade math at West Oak Middle School in Diamond Lake. After college, he coached football for Fairfield High School in Southern Ohio. In addition, Brad received his Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in 2005. He will be returning for his ninth season to help coach the Wildcats. He currently lives with his wife, Jessica, and daughter Evelyn in Libertyville.

DAN NIKOLICH
Varsity Defensive Assistant Coach
Dan is entering his fourth season coaching at LHS. Dan is a 1995 graduate of LHS and was co-captain of the 1994 team. Dan continued his playing career at Drake University in Des Moines, IA where he earned three varsity letters as a Defensive Lineman. He was part of two Pioneer Football League Championship Teams, in 1995 and 1998. Dan started his coaching career in 2000 at the youth level with the LIbertyville Boys Club and has coached there for 16 seasons. He currently resides in Libertyville with his two sons, Luka (11) and Aleks (8).

JIMMY ORI
Varsity Quarterbacks & Running Backs Coach
Coach Ori is entering his 7th year coaching football, his first at LHS, where he will be working with the quarterbacks and running backs. Jimmy was an assistant coach at Highland Park High School from 2013-16. Last season, he was the Varsity passing game coordinator, and assistant Varsity basketball coach. He graduated from Highland Park High School (2000), where he lettered two years on the Varsity football, basketball, and baseball teams. Jimmy was a preferred walk-on for The University of Kansas football team. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at KU as well. Following five years in sales for a logistics company in Chicago, he went back to school to earn a degree in physical education and health from North Park University. Jimmy works in the Physical Welfare Department ans well as coaches basketball and baseball for the Wildcats.

JOE RAVAGNI
Equipment Manager
Coach Joe has been a part of Wildcat Football since 2006. He is responsible for handling all the team’s equipment needs and also helps with various other aspects of the program. Coach Joe spent thirty-six years as member of the water department for the Village of Northbrook, spending the last twenty-six years in management. He currently works as a member of the security department at LHS. A graduate of Stevenson High School, Coach Joe played three years of varsity football. His claim to fame during his career at Stevenson was blocking an extra point to ensure Stevenson’s first football victory. Coach Joe and his wife Betty have two children (Thomas and Lisa) and five grandchildren. They currently reside in the Fox Lake area.

JASON SCHROEDER
Varsity Special Teams Coordinator & Defensive Backs Coach
Coach Schroeder has been a Team Director and the varsity defensive backs coach since 2011. Jason attended Bishop McNamara High School in Kankakee, Illinois, where he played football for the fighting Irish. After high school he attended the College of DuPage where he continued his playing career for the Chaparrals. In his sophomore year, Coach Schroeder transferred to Olivet Nazarene University where he was a three-year starter at free safety and earned his bachelor's degree in secondary physical education. Previously, Jason spent six years at Warren Township High School serving as a teacher, dean of students, and assistant principal. Coach Schroeder received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Jason resides in Libertyville with his wife Monica.

BEN WELLENBACH
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Ben is entering his fourth season as the team's strength coach. Growing up in the Boston area Ben lettered all four years in high school in three sports (football, hockey and lacrosse) he then continued playing varsity hockey in college. Ben started his coaching career in Boston for 2 years working with athletes training for the 1998 Nagano Olympic games the first year, then high school, collegiate and professional athletes the second. He then continued with the Indianapolis Ice minor league hockey team working with a physical therapist rehabbing players from injury. In 2007, Ben founded BeWell Fitness in Libertyville working with performance athletes and tactical forces to those in the “Game of Life”. Ben received his bachelor degree from Lake Forest College and holds additional certifications as a Functional Strength Coach, Functional Movement Screen Specialist and Nutritional Coach. Ben is also the strength coach for the LHS basketball, baseball and track teams. Ben resides in Libertyville with his wife and kids.
